'dutti' is about being broke & beautiful,
life being grimy, but finding the diamonds in the dirt.
being caught in poverty, but hustling through it.
it's also a middle finger to the industry and capitalism.

Following his THE FADER-premiered 2015 viral summer call-to-action, "no ebola", the Los Angeles-based rapper formerly known as uhlife spent the winter burying his ego. With spring, the Philadelphia native rose again as lojii, carrying with him, "dutti", his new single and the continued soundtrack to his upward (and inward) climb.
With investigative poetry bouncing between the intoxicating rhythms of Soulection's NiceGuyxVinny, lojii's “dutti” vividly paints his story, holding high a reverence for all of life’s beauty, even as it casts him in the dirt. Punctuated by blunt illustrations colored with menacing curiosity, lojii stands defiant against the powers that be, claiming his peace.
Binding the raw narrative initiated by “no ebola” and “dutti”, lojii’s forthcoming debut album "lofeye" stacks gritty incantations and his signature smoky vocals cautiously over the sounds of thook, NiceGuyxVinny, Trampers, Space People, Vertiqua, and others.
“dutti” will be featured on the classic heavyweight black 12" vinyl of "lofeye"—due out end of the year.
